Borrum Energy Solutions (BES) is exploring a potential joint project with the National Research Council of Canada for the assembly and installation of a wind turbine and tower in Northern Canada. One of the project’s objectives would be to deploy a BES-designed tower base and anchors capable of being installed in a permafrost environment without negatively affecting the permafrost.
Indigenous communities place a high importance on preserving permafrost, and the novel BES design would align with that priority. This collaboration with the NRC would support this shared objective.
